Our mission is to provide a free software tool for dynamic runtime discovery, loading and invocation of C++ objects.

The Plump project is dedicated to providing a:

• powerful,
• portable,
• extensible,
• robust,
• flexible,
• lightweight,
• and easy to integrate

C++ plugin framework.

The purpose of the Plump project is to fill the gap created by the absence of a readily available C++ plugin framework.

Plump is free software. Free software is a matter of the users' freedom to run, copy, distribute, study, change and improve the software. The software we provide falls under the definition of free software as stated by the Free Software Foundation.

Plump has come a long way since its humble beginnings.

Plump's origins go back to a primordial state.
In its first incarnation, plump could not even be called a software project.
It consisted of a bunch of line of code, thrown together quickly and hastily to provide some rudimental dynamic loading functionality to Soothsayer.

Plump was originally written by Matteo Vescovi.

Plump is currently maintained by Matteo Vescovi.
